"The Creation Story" in Duplo

Mikhyla, Scarlett and I had fun one Sabbath afternoon creating the creation story with Duplo. Our range of bricks is not huge (and my photographic stills not so great!) but nevertheless it illustrates how easy it is to use this to create story tableaus with this medium.

In the beginning God created a beautiful garden.

He created many animals for this garden.

And He also made Adam and Eve.

Adam and Eve could go anywhere in the garden and eat anything they like except for the fruit of just one tree.

But Eve disobeyed God and went to that tree. A wily snake tricked her into eating a piece of the tree's fruit.

Eve took back a piece to Adam and he ate it too even though he knew it was wrong.

Because they disobeyed God, Adam and Even could no longer live in their beautiful garden home.

But God did not want them to be separated from Him and the garden forever. So He made a special plan that His Son would take their punishment.

And one day we will all live together in a new garden that God is making for us in Heaven.
