Patty Pan Flower Arrangement

A simple yet effective craft for Mother's Day.

Materials

  • paper patty cake pans in various colours
  • green straws
  • green plastic cups
  • floral oasis (the stuff that you arrange flowers in!)
  • (optional) red card and craft sticks
  • sticky tape and glue

 

Method

  • Cut floral oasis to shape to fit into plastic cups.  Glue base to the inside of the cup.
  • Daisy (left)
    • Place two different coloured pans together. 
    • Cut out to make triangular petals.
    • Turn top pan around so that petals are between the petals of the back pan and glue together.
  • Daffodil (middle)
    • Choose two different coloured pans.
    • Flatten out one of the pans.
    • Glue the other pan in its center.
  • Anemone (right)
    • Choose two different coloured pans
    • Cut out the center circle of one and glue in the middle of the other.
    • Cut done every second or third pleat line to form petals.
  • Tape straw to the back of each flower.  Arrange in the cup.
  • (Optional) Cut out red heart from the card.  Write a mother's day message on the heart.  Glue a craft stick to back and stick into arrangement.
  • Suggested messages:
    • World's Best Mum (Nanna or Grandma)
    • Happy Mother's Day!
    • My Mum (Nanna or Grandma) is the Best!
    • I Love My Mum (Nanna or Grandma)
