Version 1 - Reading Version
Game board
- Print onto coloured paper or
card
- Join all pieces together as
shown right and glue onto a large
piece (about A3 size) of
card. Decorate with
stickers/pictures of
animals. You also may like
to add small stickers/pictures of
angels along the path to the
ark. Make a milk
carton ark or use a picture
of the ark to place at the
finish line.
Situation Cards
- Print onto card and cut out
Animals Markers
- Print onto card one of the
following animal templates (enough
for eight children)
- Glue animals back to back -
except for tab which folds out to
form a stand.
- If there are more than eight
children, print the b/w template
onto different coloured card.
- Alternatively, use plastic
animals as markers.
Dice
My girls love the size of these
large carton dice for playing games!
- From a cube from a milk carton
(see Creation
Dice for instructions).
- Cover each side with paper and
place coloured dots on sides to
form a dice.
Playing the Game
- Each child chooses an animal as
a game marker.
- Decide who will begin the game.
- Throw dice and move markers
accordingly.
- Whenever marker lands on an
animal paw, child is to pick up a
situation card and follow the
instructions.
- Game is finished when all the
animals have reached the ark.
After the Game
- Discuss together - who helped
the animals find the way to the
ark?
