Did you know that
you can edit text and graphics from
Adobe Acrobat Reader in other programs
such as Microsoft Publisher and
Graphics programs? The following
instructions will show you how.
Using Text from Adobe Acrobat
Reader Text can be
selected from Adobe Acrobat Reader to
be placed into another program such as
Microsoft Word.
-
Click on the Text
Select Tool
.
-
Drag your mouse over
the desired text to highlight it.
-
Choose Edit, Copy.
-
Paste into the program
of your choice.
Using Graphics from
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Using Graphics from Adobe Acrobat
Reader in another program means that
you can do far more with them than you
can in the Reader program. In
Reader there is no possibility of
resizing a page or changing the colour
of a graphic. If yo copy the
graphic into another program, you
can resize, change the colour of the
graphics or give a black and white
graphic some colour - the
possibilities are endless. My
favourite programs for using graphics
from Adobe Acrobat Reader are
Microsoft Publisher (I find it really
easy to resize and put together a page
with the desired graphics in this
program) and Ulead Photo Impact 7.
-
Click on the Graphics
Select Tool
.
-
Drag your mouse over
the desired graphic so that it is
highlighted.
-
Choose Edit, Copy.
-
Paste into the program
of your choice.
-
Hint: the more
you have zoomed into Adobe Acrobat
Reader, the larger the graphic will be
when you paste it. This is an
important factor if you are wanting to
resize a graphic. It will print
better if you have reduced to the
correct size rather than enlarged - so
always zoom in more in Reader if you
want a large graphic.
-
Now you can place as
many (or as few) of the graphics you
wish on the page and print out at any
size you want.
The Adobe Acrobat
Reader Program can be downloaded from
