Memory Verse Machine

This is a simple craft that encourages children to think about their memory verses as they match the parts of the verse together.

Materials

  • Template - printed onto stiff card

  • Straw

  • Glue

Method

  • Choose four memory verses.  Divide into two parts and write one part on top piece, the last part on the middle piece and the reference on the bottom piece.  (Alternatively, print out another copy of the template and divide the memory verse into 5 parts plus reference for even more of a challenge.)  Make sure that the verses are placed randomly in the rectangles so that only one memory verse can be matched at a time.

  • Cut out all three parts of the machine.

  • Glue together to form three cubes.  Pierce a whole in the circles and push a straw through all parts in order.

  • Turn parts around to place a memory verse in order.

Primary Memory Verse

  • The Primary Memory Verse for Year C, Second Quarter, April uses this craft.  You may like to check it out as a sample.
