The
Adventist Mission website provides a
great deal of information to help
children understand the importance of
supporting the mission offering.
The Mission quarterly for both adults
and children is available to download,
as well as resources for the focus
division. In addition, Mission
Spotlight podcasts (there is a
children's story available each quarter
as well as overviews of the division and
other interesting stories) are available
to download. I find these
extremely useful to share with the
children in my Sabbath School so that
they can visually see the area they are
giving their offering to.
Some other useful
resources:
-
God's Eye View - this
article from Christianity
Today - Parenting has many
ideas for helping children
discover the diversity of the
world, many of which could be
used for a Bible class.
-
For younger children you make
like to use
Whoever You Are Lesson
from Literature during the
Mission Spotlight section of
your program.
